All-day happy hour!

If you need an excuse for grabbing a drink today- this might just be it. Dubai’s funky alpine themed bar, Publique has reopened its doors for the winter this week and to celebrate they are offering a three-day happy hour (ending on Wednesday)! The alfresco venue at the Madinat Jumeirah proves a social affair with a relaxed ambience that will keep wanting to spend time there. If you want to make an evening of it, opt for the traditional raclette which comes in a variety of flavours from natural smoked to garlic and herb. 12pm - 2am, +971 4 430 8550

Oysters at Social House

Seafood delight

After a day of shopping in the world’s largest mall, seafood lovers will not want to miss this limited-time menu. Popular eatery, Social House in Dubai Mall have just launched an Oyster and Mussels menu this month. The month of October sees the restaurant serving up succulent Fine De Claire oysters and mussels from the Netherlands which promise a melt-in-the-mouth experience. Choose from raw or cooked oysters in different decadent flavours including Truffle Cream.

Gluten-free

If you’re avoiding carbs or if you have an allergy don’t miss trying the first Japanese and Far Eastern gluten free café in Dubai, KOBEYa. The café opened last weekend and the menu includes a host of Asian favourites, reworked to remove the gluten and to optimise each dish for health. Founder of the restaurant, Ms Leiko wanted to create a place people can come to enjoy all their favourite flavours of Asia without having to forfeit due to allergies. We say go for the Japanese Kobe Beef and a side serving of the Vietnamese spring rolls. If you love Asian food, check out our round-up of the best Asian spots in town. +971 4 343 0012
