What to do in Dubai today: Celebrate Thanksgiving

Dubai’s food scene is giving us something to be thankful for today with a host of festive culinary delights on offer around the city

All-you-can-eat grill

Sit alfresco this evening for a causal affair as you indulge in all-you-can-eat roast at Black Goose sports bar in Sheraton JBR. Gather with your friends and family here to enjoy a veritable feast cooked up by the garden’s 360 live grill. Along with succulent cuts of meat, there will be trimmings aplenty and mood setting beats by DJ Jay Arger. From 12.30pm onwards, all you can eat for just Dhs65 per person.

Fine dining

Add a fine dining twist to your turkey and doubled eggs this year by sitting down to a three-course set menu at Marea in DIFC. Adreamed up by Michelin-starred chef Michael White. The sharing style menu features rustic flavours such as tortellini en brodo a traditional Italian meat-filled ravioli in a rich chicken broth. Of course, the line-up features a well-seasoned turkey served with all the usual trimmings and concludes with a traditional pumpkin pie. Dhs350 per person, available all-day Thursday 28th and Friday 29th. Pre-booking is required: +971 4 583 6366

Vegan delight

Plant-based foodies won’t want to miss the buffet spread put on by Brambles Café tonight. The all-you-can-eat buffet is set to serve up hearty dishes including roast cauliflower, sweet potato shepherd’s pie and mac and cheese. Complete the feast with the tahini banana cake or berry compote. The café is famed for its kale brownies (yes, they’re made with kale), so you can expect the desserts here to pack-in some vitamins.
