Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

Catch a tennis match

Today marks the start of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships where top tennis stars Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer will be heading the star line-up. All eyes will be on Djokovic who is making his return to the court in a bid to reclaim the title he won in 2013, joined by some of the biggest names in the sport from around the globe. From February 17 to 29, crowds will flock to Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium to see the stars battle it out. Tickets for the tournament cost from Dhs55 for the first three-days, rising to Dhs475 for a seat at the men's final.

Azure Beach

Pool day

Sun worshippers and pool dwellers alike will love JBR day-to-night hangout Azure Beach. Today you’ll find party vibes here with their Monday ladies’ day deal ‘Pool Tribe.’ Keen to get going? Hop to it, as those who show up early are rewarded, with the first 100 girls entering for free (Dhs100 for regular entry). So, get there quick and lay out your towels by the pool for relaxation under the sun set to a stellar soundtrack mixed by Azure Beach’s resident DJ. Plus, girls won’t need to break the bank here as the Dhs100 entry voucher guarantees you five house drinks. If the party must continue, check out these after dark clubs. 10am-9pm, +971 4 342 1924

Happy hour

If sundowners are on the agenda today, we say head to Boardwalk at Dubai Creek Marina for stunning views of the Dubai skyline. Since it opened 26 years ago, this iconic restaurant has become an institution known for its serene alfresco dining option. There’s a daily happy hour throughout the week from 12-7pm where select drinks are Dhs25. If the flowing drinks whet your appetite, the Mediterranean inspired menu will surely not disappoint with its solid line-up of fresh fish dishes. +971 4 205 4647
