Watch world class golf

Golf enthusiasts will want to stop by the DP World Golf Tour Championship, which is teeing off today at the Earth course on Jumeirah Golf Estates. Here, you can watch top golfers such as Victor Perez and Jon Rahm battle it out on the greens among the best 50 of the European Tour. As well as watching the big hitters, there’ll be live performances, trick-shot shows and a championship village where you can be entertained while catching all the action on a giant screen. General admission is free while hospitality tickets start from Dhs900.

New Mexican Restaurant

Be the first to dine at brand new Mexican restaurant CHINGÓN which opens in tonight at the Grand Millennium Hotel. The Central and South American restaurant uses traditional recipes and cooking techniques for an authentic flavour. There’ll be seafood tostadas, grilled octopus and whole roasted baby chicken along with a selection of vegetarian options. Plus, there’s a line-up of masterfully crafted cocktails to quench your thirst and get the weekend started. 6pm ‘til late, +971 4 873 3377

Festival fun

It’s good, old-fashioned festival fun this weekend over at Reform Social and Grill as their annual Harvest celebration takes place again. The family friendly grass top event has a range of activities on offer, boutique shopping stalls, BBQ stations and bountiful bars along with hours of live entertainment to keep up the festive atmosphere at this typically British pub. The celebrations begin tonight (from 5pm) and run all weekend long. +971 4 454 2638
