Now open at its new location, Iris bar boasts stunning city views, creative cocktails and a journey of gastronomy. Situated in Meydan, the open-air venue sets a glamorous tone with its high-class décor and jazzy beats. The new menu offers international dishes with influences from South America, Japan and the Mediterranean. You can expect everything from truffle fries, to sushi and flavoursome tacos or steaks. Wash it down with some of their signature inventive drinks crafted by experts. Tonight, there’s live percussion and instrumentals accompanying DJ Bob Howard. 5pm- 2am, +971 56 951 1442

Spanish Speakeasy

Be the first to get a taste of Spain at brand new tapas bar – Nido. The Spanish ‘speakeasy’ style venue is hidden away at the Sheraton Grand hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road and once you’ve located the door (hint: check Moe’s wine cellar) you’ll need to say something in Spanish to enter. Don’t worry you needn’t be fluent – a simple 'hola' will see you whisked into the intimate (12 tabled) restaurant. Once inside you can choose from an array of delicious tapas including traditional empanadas and creative fusion creations, along with a selection of Latino drinks. 6pm- 3am, +971 4 503 4444
