Calling all truffle lovers
Celebrate the end of the week with a delectable fine-dining affair at Pierchic. The over-water venue at Al Qasr Hotel is putting on a special five-course menu dedicated to truffle. The gourmet dishes feature both black and white truffles, each carefully crafted into creative plates. To start there’s grade 7 Japanese wagyu carpaccio with winter black truffle and Italian white sturgeon caviar. For the main course there’s 250-day Australian Angus beef with Comte fondue and black truffle jus. The meal even concludes with a truffle infused dessert. Dhs990 per person, available all-day until January 10, +971 800 666 353
Meat-lovers would do well to get themselves down to The Pointe for a carnivorous lunch today at Chicago Meatpackers. The deal here is two courses with an accompanying glass of house grape for just Dhs99. It’s all about the steaks here, with a hefty line-up of quality beef on offer all cooked up on a lava stone grill. End on a sweet note with their traditional New York Cheesecake. 12pm- 4pm on weekdays, +971 4 580 7983.
If you’re in the mood for an upmarket evening, don’t miss the vinyl sessions at Seventyseventy tonight. Their new Thursday evening event is dedicated to a love of music (played on vinyl – if that wasn’t obvious) so you can expect a great soundtrack here. From jazz to soul, DJ Tarik Omar will take care of the records tonight while you unwind with a drink in hand. 5pm-2am, +971 4 602 1814
