'Tis the sea-son

Putting on a merry spread this month is LOWE with its new seafood menu. The Australian inspired food approaches Christmas with a twist, featuring dishes such as chilled lobster sandwich with purslane and Marie rose dressing. The creative line-up is finished up with a yoghurt served with blackberry, apple and spiced gingerbread. The whole menu can be ordered as a set menu for Dhs280 per person and some select dishes can be ordered separately. 8am-11.30am, 12pm-11pm, +971 4 320 1890

Sculptures at The Pointe

If you’re around The Pointe today you might notice some (very large) colourful animal sculptures, that’s because French-Tunisian sculptor Idriss B has just launched a 15-piece exhibition here. The sculptures have a distinctive look as the artist uses a blend of origami and a polygon cut effect. One apt for the region, a chrome-gold falcon stands at 6-metres tall and weighs almost a ton. The animals will be on display until March 2020.
